South Green Table Tents

Ok...here's the deal with the South Green Table Tents.

We have them reserved for April 25 through May 1st. That was the soonest opening they had available.

76 Table tents on cardstock, folded, and stapled.

We need to turn them in 10 days before the 25th... so they are due by 5pm on April 15th. They will place them on the tables for us.

We need to bring them in a bag to the South Green Office which is located in Oblenis House on South Green behind Crawford.

NOTE: They said if we bring the Table Tents in Crumpled up and what not that they will make us fix them before we leave otherwise they will not put them out on the tables. Whoever drops them off, keep that in mind. Looking forward to seeing you all on Wednesday!

Table Tent Reservations

Ok! I called and made reservations for Table tents at East and West Green today:

EAST GREEN

Thursday & Friday April 7th - 8th
Thursday & Friday April 14th - 15th

guidelines -

8 1/2 - 11 cardstock
50 for Jeff; 75 for Perkins
Go to East Green Office the morning of the 7th & Pick up permission slip
Make sure nothing about alchohol, etc.
Same as above for April 14th - 15th

WEST GREEN

Mon - Wed April 11th - 13th
Mon - Wed April 23rd - 25th

HOORAY FOR TABLE TENTS! Let me know if we need any more reservations any time soon! I can call and reserve them any time. The beginning of the months seem to fill up.

Liz - I was thinking it woudl be best to split the Launch team into groups according to greens for tasks such as this and put someone in charge of making sure this gets done. Let me know what you think.

T-Shirts Will call back. Wanted to know approximately how many we would be doing?

Basically we need the logo and our general idea before we can get a legitimate quote. The only place that sounded like they had a straight up answer was Kinkos. Not many places offer buttons. Kinkos and Traditional Printers said they were pretty sure they could outsourse the buttons for us once we knew what the design was going to look like. So the sooner we get the logo, what we want on the shirts, and appox. how many shirts the more accurate the quote can be.

Table Tents Part 2

Ok... called all the green offices back about the table tents. I have some good news and some bad news.

Bad first: The West Green is already full for the beginning of April. I can call back and schedule for later in April if you would like. Let me know about that.

Good News: I need to call back East Green tomorrow and South Green they begin sign ups February 28th at 8 am. I can call them on my way to class since I have an 8 amer. So we will for sure get one on South Green. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed about East Green.

It sounds like each green does their table tents differently. So I will ask at each one how we need to do them, how many we need to make, as well as how long they will be posted. It sounds like they are up for a week or so. I'll let you know how the East Green call goes tomorrow.

Table Tents

Ok, so I called Residence Life today to see about reserving table tents.

There are 3 phone numbers to call about this:

East Green 597-9968
South Green 597-7468
West 597-5956

I called to reserve them but they said we can't reserve them unless we are are a certified student organization. So I wanted to double check on that. Also, they said to reserve them about 1 to 2 months in advance. So we need to get these done ASAP. We need to design them and print them and they need to be on card stock or some sort of heavier paper and stapled. The sooner we can get the logo and everything set up the better. Let me know if we are certified and when we want them and I will call each office back and make the reservation as well as figure out how many we need to print up.

I think that's about everything... the only other thing I could think of would be to use some sort of guerrilla advertising strategy. I.E. When cell phones w/ cameras on them coming out companies would have people on street ask individuals to take their photos with the phone so people would begin to be interested. Don't know how we would do something like that... but anything creative along those lines might be cool. Could we have the library put up signs next to the computer on the date of launch highlighting that is is there? Let me know if anyone thinks of anything.
